The departments at Rungta Medical Institution are looked after by a pool of well qualified and experienced full time teaching faculty members. Every faculty member is made aware of new developments taking place in the Dental Education Program to broaden their vistas of knowledge. Department of Oral Medicine/Diagnosis & Radiology deals with study of various Dental and Oral Diseases, their causes and treatments. The Department has IOPA X-ray and OPG / Ceph. investigation facility for precise and proper diagnosis. Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Local Anesthesia deals with surgical treatment of various dental diseases and disorders including cysts, tumors, fractures, etc. Department of Periodontics deals with Diagnosis and Treatment of diseases of gums and other surrounding tissues of the teeth. Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics deals with conserving the decayed teeth by restoration and by Endodontic treatment. Department of Pedodontics deals with diagnosis and treatment of diseases of teeth and oral tissue of children. Department of Orthodontics deals with correction of alignment of teeth and malrelated teeth and jaws by use of various appliances and devices.

Department of Prosthodontics deals with restoration and replacement of one or more lost / missing teeth and surrounding structure by providing removable or fixed type of artificial replacement of teeth i.e. crowns, fixed bridge, complete set of dentures, etc. The Department also has a modern, well equipped casting and ceramic lab for ceramic teeth. Department of Community Dentistry conducts camps at school or village level on Oral and Dental Health and Hygiene programs.
